Successful Affiliate Marketing On The Internet

People often want to earn commissions by selling products or services, but do not own a company, or have their own products, or even have a website. This does not exclude them from making a decent living in the sales industry; they can become affiliate marketers. Countless thousands of domestic and foreign companies want independent help in promoting their merchandise, and contrary to popular belief, affiliate marketing is not a closed industry.

Becoming an affiliate marketer for someone else’s product line is not a new fad. In fact, it has been a staple of the sales industry for centuries. In today’s internet-based economy, old-fashioned word-of-mouth has a new meaning, because information exchange is not only lightning fast, it is available to just about everyone on the planet. The way companies conduct their everyday business, from testing out new products to keeping established customers, revolves around the 21st century version of getting the word out.

Basically, affiliate marketing in its contemporary dress is rather simple: an affiliate marketer seeks a company whose products or services are interesting and saleable, and then decides to help out with the promotion of that company’s product. In return, the affiliate earns a share of the profit. For example, if Company “A” sells garden gnomes, they are probably advertised on the internet. Company “A” will have their own website, complete with product information about their garden gnomes, and customers can order by placing items in a shopping cart and proceeding to online checkout, paying with a credit or debit card. In addition, the company advertises on Google, Internet Explorer, or other search engines. An affiliate is allowed to participate in the same advertising game.

The independent affiliate will obtain a special destination URL code that is incorporated into all online text, video or banner ads. Customers who click on these advertisements will signal a charge to the affiliate’s account with the search engine company. The affiliate, in other words, is charged on a pay-per-click basis even if the potential customer does not buy anything after being directed to the Company “A” website. But if they do purchase product, the embedded code in the advertisement will record the sale as one made by the affiliate, and he or she will earn a percentage of the sale.

This is a very simple explanation of online affiliate marketing. Obviously, the affiliate will want to promote services or products that seem to have enough appeal for a large internet audience, otherwise the advertisements created will not receive enough traffic to make the venture worthwhile. Also, the affiliate marketer will need to gain knowledge about online advertising. This includes knowing how to set a budget, how much to charge for a click-through, and what search engine optimization (SEO) tools should be employed.

A new strategy being employed today involves the use of social networking sites as a tool for directing traffic to an advertising link. Of extreme importance is the understanding that an affiliate cannot market a product simply because it is well-known or greatly desired. Unless advertisements are worded correctly and are quite relevant to the web page to which they direct the consumer, the search engine companies will not give a favourable rating, and the ad will rarely show. Although little or no advertising dollars are lost because of this, a great amount of time is wasted, and it becomes easy for the affiliate to become discouraged.

Rule Number One for individuals who want to get in on the affiliate marketing game is to find a good tutorial that explains in detail how to sign up with companies looking for advertising help, and also how to successfully market any product using the search engines. It is a matter of trial and error, but persistent affiliate marketers will usually find good products to promote, and gain a foothold in the world of internet marketing.

2012 (2009) – Trailer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAX4uafaUAI

Official Trailer for 2012 (2009) 2012 is a 2009 American science fiction disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich. It stars John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover, and Woody Harrelson, among others. It was produced by Emmerich’s production company, Centropolis Entertainment, and was distributed by Columbia Pictures. Filming began in August 2008 in Vancouver, although it was originally planned to be filmed in Los Angeles. The plot follows Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) as he attempts to bring his children, Noah and Lilly (Liam James and Morgan Lily respectively), ex-wife Kate Curtis (Amanda Peet) and her boyfriend, Gordon Silberman (Thomas McCarthy) to refuge and attempt to escape the heightened change in the elements. The film includes references to Mayanism, the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar and the 2012 phenomenon in its portrayal of cataclysmic events unfolding in the year 2012. Emmerich has announced that the film will be his last involving disasters. After a prolonged marketing campaign comprising the creation of a website from the point of view of the main character, Jackson Curtis, and a viral marketing website on which filmgoers could register for a lottery number to save them from the ensuing disaster, the film was internationally released on November 13, 2009. It received generally mixed reviews from critics who praised its use of special effects and tone of the film, but criticized its length and screenwriting <b>…</b>

“Scarelementary School”

“Scarelementary School”

Here?s a ?picture? from a child?s perspective, of life in the Deep South in the late 1950?s. As a fourth-grader at Oak Park Elementary School, I was transfused with a fear that to this very day has been the most frightful experience of my life. Chennault Military Air Force Base, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, along with ?government scare tactics?, was largely responsible for filling this little boy?s (along with many other boy?s and girl?s) heart and mind with the most chilling and morbid pictures of just how my life was to come to a fiery, nuclear end.

All of a sudden, the men in the ?dark suits?, and the military ?regalia?, deemed it critically necessary to inform us of impending doom originating from the South?around Cuba way?.We were told that Chennault Military Base would be the number one target of Russian Nuclear Missiles that would be launched from Cuba. It was never a matter of ?if?, but rather ?when? this world-ending strike would take place. Along with the news of our certain demise, there were instituted new rules and regulations to deal with ?The Event.?

It became mandatory that all students wear military style ?dog tags? to school.

You can see our dog tags in the video below.

If you arrived at class without yours, you were sent immediately home to fetch them up. The tags contained such info as name, address, date of birth, and religious preference. To address this, there was a ?P? for Protestant or a ?C for Catholic. As a joke, we would refer to one another as a Poodle or a Collie, based upon your religious moniker. We had no Jewish classmates, so there was no dog to go with J. The teachers were very adept at explaining that these dog tags could withstand temperatures of 1,000 degrees, so that our remains could be identified, if there were any people left after the ?big boom?.

Here is another video of us wearing our dog tags.  I sure wish I still had mine.

Day after day, the streets were filled with grim-faced military personnel; riding from who knows where to who knows where on their grey colored Vespa Durkopp Diana motor-scooters. We always wondered what they were thinking, and what sinister activities could they be up to. My Uncle Don was one of the ?air-dales?, and he was always pale and silent. These SOLDIERS had their own housing project of little ?cracker-boxes? on the south side of town. Most are still standing today, and can be had for a ?song and a dance?. They look so drab and foreboding now?.the ?haunts of the doom-Sayers and ne?re-do-wells.?

Jets on maneuvers would fly very low over our town, day and night. Night-time was the most frightening?.right over the rooftops, they would scream and roar, frequently followed by ground-shaking sonic booms?were they ?THEIR?S OR OURS?? Were their missiles launched? Daytime bomb drills were the rule during the week. An ear-piercing siren would signify the drill?or was it a drill? We were never sure; and what you did was crawl under your desk and cover your head and eyes with your arms. Wow, what a great defense against nuclear weapons! Presently, the siren would sound again, signifying ?all clear?. Okay class, back to work! Why did we continue to pursue our future in education, when we knew that we had no future at all?

Other strange occurrences happened on a regular basis. One bright, sun-shiny morning, we were playing at recess when the sky became very dark, and the air smelled metallic. As we looked skyward, we beheld millions of streamers of aluminum foil falling from the darkened sky. They fell from the sky and completely covered our school ground. We were told later that the military was working on ways to jam enemy radar. And speaking of radar, there was an installation out on Highway 14 south of town. One of the radar scopes continually moved up and down and made a terrible clicking sound, while the other spun madly in a never-ending circle, making a sound like the wailing of a banshee. They were made of metal, but we figured they were capable of thought. They had to have something to do with the military.

Our next-door neighbor was an ?Air-Dale?. He was very quiet and reclusive after his wife and child left him during mysterious circumstances. Were they told to go? Made to leave by the Military? We felt badly for him, because back in those days we knew nothing of broken families and divorce. The neighborhood snoop went searching for him one day in July, and entered his home through a window. Inside, he found the airman?.he had piled newspapers around the lit space heaters in the living area?.he had also slit his wrists and throat. Blood was found on the telephone receiver as though he had tried to call for help?.The grey military ambulance came quietly to retrieve his remains, as the entire neighborhood stood silently watching and wondering.

Then one bright and sun-shiny day, the ominous fog of fear lifted. The Military Base closed in 1960, and all of the Military Personnel were just GONE. All of a sudden, the horrible Russians and their Nuclear Arsenal were no longer of any concern to us. All that was left behind was an empty military air force base, and an empty housing project. I don?t know how they knew when we had become ?safe?, but they knew. I wonder if there were ?Black Suits? in Russia that frightened the life out of the children, with horrible tales of nuclear bombs coming up from the south. Be at peace, all o? GOD?S Chilluns??..I pray.

And now a word from our sponsor, SALEM CIGARETTES; ?Take a puff, its springtime??luckily they?re using the new ?high-verocity? paper, which can actually draw in ambient air to cool the smoke, so it?s never too hot?.only pure tobacco taste and satisfaction, I say.

SEO isn’t just effective but affordable dentist offices

Small enterprises with a generally local customer base can certainly boost the risk for mistake about believing that Website SEO is not for them nonetheless Search engine optimization designed for small business growth and marketing is good even though they simply serve a little suburb or area. Obviously to get a local company testimonials is essential but you may still find many people which don’t realize you actually are available plus don’t know what you are doing or exactly how well you actually get it done: bear in mind there will always be people stepping into an area or perhaps visiting a place on vacation.

A particular company that can have a whole lot from a great online presence and Website positioning is really a dentist. SEO meant for dentist’s procedures is a great notion, people will often get a dental professional encouraged for them simply by someone but many will be looking on the web instead too. In the event that people are seeking on Google to get a dentist they’ll generally insert in their whereabouts and then dental surgeries or dentists. SEO signifies you can be the business enterprise whose internet site shows up 1st plus what’s more it can be sure you come up with a title and outline on Google for the site which fits precisely what the particular person looked for therefore boosts the chance they’ll click on your own internet link.

For a dentist SEO makes monetary good sense when compared to advertising locally, especially as less and less people look in any yellow pages or simply comparable and search on the web as an alternative. As you are just focused on a few quite related search phrases you possibly can make certain that most of the targeted traffic you will create is regional looking for a dentist. SEO done utilizing local keywords does mean you don’t have to compete from 1000s of different dental professionals across the nation or world.

If perhaps you will try and get to the top on Google for that key phrase ?dentist’ you have small chance, regardless of how very much you are willing to expend: possibly this is just what has put you off Search engine marketing in the past. It might be also the fact that other local dentists haven’t viewed as SEO either though and this will make it easier still to get to the top of Google, although it is really a top 3 location plus a good label and outline that are most significant. Obviously being a dentist SEO is only able to get visitors to your internet site: once there you need a professional website and maybe a few testimonials from others nevertheless the hard part of finding a possible client being aware that you actually can be found and are near them is done.

You can do very similar things together with Search engine optimization for small company working with regional and also specific niche market keyword phrases whatever it can be you are offering locally, it of course is best suited with expertise that individuals care a lot about although just use from time to time or are likely to transform. With dental practitioners it is the case that individuals often shift their dental surgeons if they are disappointed with him or her as well as the same is true for an enterprise such as a cultivator with something like a flower shop the choice is important but the utilization of any flower shop might be pretty rare Along with equally landscapers and florists also to a point dental practitioners types of work are essential this lends them to an online data look for a possible client.

Put the Breaks on SEO Companies When They…..The Top 5

To begin with, let me just say that I didn’t realize there were so many unscrupulous people in the marketplace who had the ability to get my attention. After all, I thought I was above the fray, considering I’m well beyond the age of gullible. Well, perhaps not. Here’s what the SEO industry is going to be selling you and how you break it down so that you receive value and not fluff!

My top 5 Abused SEO Services:

   1. The Analysis Package: Any SEO company that’s worth their salt will insist on first doing a complete and thorough onsite evaluation to bring your site up to “best practice standards.” Now to do that, they need to sell you a complete “Initial Analysis Package”. The one I received from SEO Company consisted of:

  • Up to 300 Keywords & Keyword Phrases Reported
  • Initial Web Site SEO Analysis Report
  • Initial Ranking (Benchmark) Report
  • Initial Competitive Intelligence Analysis Report
  • 90 minute Telephone Consultation

Keep in mind that all of the above is compiled with the aid of automated programming that takes just a few minutes of their time to run so a majority of expense for them comes in the 90 minute phone conference. The cost of this package is about $900

Done correctly, the analytics package should be about identifying the best key works or phrases, (probably 3 or 4 tops) and then using the SEO companies analytics to determining what assets the top positioned companies have in links and content compared to you. Knowing this will allow you toestimate how long it will take to catch up, or if it is even possible. Unfortunately it seldom gets done this way because few SEO companies want to tell you bad news right off the bat. For them it’s better to let you spend $12k first.

     2. The “Strategic Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization Consulting Agreement.” Wow, sounds impressive doesn’t it? This where the SEO Company (yes, that’s their name) really made their money, which  cost me $1,995 per month ($199.50 per hour). The key here is they require a 30 day notice of cancellation, so if you’re unhappy, you end up paying for another month that you don’t want unless you give them a cancellation at the beginning of each month and then void it in 30 days later if you’re pleased with their results. That’s always appeared to me to be an odd way of doing it.

Within this Consulting agreement, you get 10 hours a month, but unfortunately they count the time that the computer takes to run the reports (and for me it was considerable since I already had quite a few back links) as hours that come off the clock and reduce your consulting time, time to fix problems, or link building. It also includes writing a long report to summarize what’s been said and what’s been done for the past week. Thus, after 6 months of this nonsense, we were moving at a snails pace and we never able to get to what was really need which was quality link building.

Remedy? First of all, the time it takes to run an automated report shouldn’t come off your allotted time for the month; especially at $199.50 per hour. There’s no rule in SEO that says that you can’t do some on page optimization and link building at the same time, but that never seems to happen either. It becomes an either/or scenario and tends to stretch out the project timeline indefinitely.

     3. Quality Link Building for the lesser talented SEO companies is definitely not their favorite activity, because to do it right, it takes a lot of extremely difficult work, effort and time, and when compared to the money they can make running analytic reports all day long, it’s so much less profitable. It takes someone who can go web site by web site, to related site owners and develop relationships with each of them so that when you have some content worth adding to their site, they’ll be happy to oblige. You can’t push a button to accomplish that, which is why SEO companies falter at this stage. Also, true professional companies have built enough relationships that they should already know the names on a number of doors that they can open to get the process started. They shouldn’t be starting at square one each and every time.

Example of Bad Link Building: At the beginning of our stint with one SEO Company called the SEO Company, we were advised to create new content rich blog articles, and then utilize a program to spin the articles to make each of them at least 50% unique from each other, after which we then disseminated them in another program they told us about which increased our back links by the hundreds, if not thousands in no time. Wow, it worked till Google noticed and slapped us down big time for 6 months. That advice might not have been “black hat” but it was sure enough “grey hat.” Of course, they had their butt covered in the liability clause and weren’t responsible.

 4. On Page Analytics is the process whereby you look at how the entire web site is linked and how items of importance emphasized; from home page to all the different levels of the web site, with attention paid to:
a. Title Tags
b. Meta Descriptions
c. H-1 tags
d. Key word frequency
e. Outbound links
f.  Content so all pages are indexes by Google

The above is something that all good SEO’s know about, but for heavens sake get it done and stop making a big mystery out of it when it’s basically nuts and bolts stuff. Either you’ve done it or you haven’t, so just do it. Much of the time this is where an ongoing stream of cash comes from for the SEO company as they string it out for months when it should take weeks. If the client is performing the work, all the client needs is a blueprint of how each page should look in terms of the items listed above. Then if they’re available to answer few questions along the way, somebody can be turned lose and just get it done!

5. Strategic Plan reviews: Sure you need to do this, but I’m looking at reviews that instead of seeing a check mark in the margin of the initial plan, each week get re written which in and of itself takes hours to complete and digest and regurgitate. You’ve been in front of people who seem to love hearing themselves talk; well these people just like to admire the encyclopedia they re wrote each week.

Another typical comment that you’ll get from SEO companies is to remove all inbound links of no value. That’s nice, but how do you do that since sending an email to the webmaster will probably result in hearing him laugh all the way to the end of cyberspace and back. Most of us know that once something gets out into cyber space that it’s gone for good, and viewable forever. Ask many an aspiring actress in Hollywood about how that happens! But SEO companies will make requests like that as though all you had to do was to get busy and it would just happen.

Hopefully when you see topics such as the ones I’ve listed above appear in front of you in the form of a SEO proposal, that you’ll think back on this article and begin asking questions to determine if the relationship that you’re beginning is going to be a good one or one that should be avoided. For me, the jury is still out with regard to whether SEO company sales guys really believe all the crap they tell you, or if they’re just an empty suit parroting the company line.
